It all starts with a quote. We’ll drop by and do an on-site assessment, and talk with you about your needs and desires for the project.

Next, we’ll develop an initial concept for the design along with a budget range

Following this, you get to choose from a range of products and materials, paint colours and finishing touches that we’ll incorporate into our final design drawings and finalized budget*.

Now it’s time to build. KBL will help you in applying for all the necessary permits and schedule a build timeline. We’ll complete the construction, ensure all appropriate inspections are undertaken, and then you’re ready to enjoy the finished product.

Bryan Viher
Bryan started in construction right out of high school in 2001, working as a framer in Vancouver for eight years. He moved back to Edmonton in 2009 to join his father’s renovation company and hone his skills. In 2014, he was ready to start his own company and, together with business partner Kris, KBL Contracting was born.
Bryan, his wife Laura, and their four children try to enjoy as much time together as possible, whether camping, going for walks or playing games. Bryan and Laura are active in their church and school society, and when he has time Bryan enjoys playing hockey, hunting and golf.

Kris Hoeksema
Born and raised in the Edmonton area, Kris spent eight years working as a framer, followed by two years laying floors. He then landed a job with a local custom home builder specializing in energy-efficient homes. In his six years there, Kris worked as a foreman on multiple sites, building houses from footings to completion. Since founding KBL in 2014, he’s enjoyed the opportunity to meet so many wonderful clients and deliver a quality product.
Kris and his wife are parents to four wonderful children and are active members in their church and school society. They love spending their spare time camping and enjoying the company of family and friends. Kris can also be found pursuing his love of fishing, playing any competitive sport, and occasionally sitting around a fire trying out the latest craft beer.
